A couple of days later, we spent the day at Longleat. It took us around 4-5 hours to get round everything in Longleat, so you definitely need an entire day. For the ticket price, you get so much for your money - the safari drive through, the zoo area, a boat ride around to see the seals and the Gorilla colony, a train ride and entrance to Longleat house!
We started off our trip with a short visit to Bath and the roman baths. I'm still not entirely sure what this little fella is, but he's super cute! On our final day, we took a trip to Stonehenge, something I have had on my bucket list for quite some time and it didn't disappoint!

The weather was threatening aggression yesterday, but I took a lone walk along the River Severn regardless. I encountered a large herd of cows, and also two small insects in the throes of passion on a thistle.
An old photo from a trip to Barmouth, Wales in October 2013. I found this dead crabbie on the beach and thought it wonderful how he was still intact. I figured that deserved a photo to preserve him after he was washed away into the depths of the sea.
We went for a walk along the River Severn, which trails around the back of the caravan park. It's a very pretty part of Bridgnorth, where the river snakes around fields stretching along a busy road. The contrast between the two is somewhat charming, and I find it makes me feel far less alone.
As we do on many weekends now, we spent a couple of days at the caravan in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. It was raining pretty heavily last night and the sound of the water bouncing off the roof of the caravan was comforting.
This morning, I woke up to let the dog out and the park was covered in a thick blanket of fog and dew. I inspected the trees lining the road and found these strings of web glistening with drops of crystal rain. I love this shot. I bought a pot of daffodils after Mothers' day as they were selling off the unwanted ones and I didn't want to leave any neglected. These ones are sitting in our windowsill, facing the morning light and have thrived. The other plant is from our Bamboo arrangements. I will post a full photo of them eventually, but they are basically rods of bamboo, arranged in a step formation, in a beautiful, ceramic green dish decorated with chinese writing. They appeal to my love of nature and of the orient.
These are mine and Rich's Giant African Land Snails. Mine, Simba, is the large, brown coloured snail and Rich's is the albino baby, Pestilence.
An old set of photos from one of many treks around Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. It's a gorgeous woodland area with acres and acres of nature to explore!
